The Pike Co. Cemetery Records indicate Joseph N. Armstrong 
served in Co.G  31st GA  Infantry - CSA ... 
The Records of Confederate Soldiers of Pike County, Alabama  1861 - 1865,  
indicate  Joseph N. Armstrong was wounded 16 times in combat during the war.
