The State of Alabama --- Pike County, ss.

To any Ordained Licensed Minister of the Gospel, Judge of the Circuit or
County Courts, or Justice of the Peace for said County---
Greeting:
  You are hereby authorized to celebrate the Rites of Matrimony between
F.L. Dawkins and Mip E.E. Carroll and this shall be your sufficient authority
for so doing.
                         Given under my hand and seal, this 5th day
                         of November, 1872, A.D. and of the Independence
                         of the United States of America the Ninety seventh
                         Year.

Know all men by these presents, That we F.L. Dawkins are held and firmly
bound unto to the State of Alabama in the sum of Two Hundred Dollars; for 
payment of which, well, and truly to be made, we bind ourselves, and each
and every of our Heirs, Executors and Administrators, jointly and 
severally, firmly by these presents.

Sealed with our seals, and dated 5 day of Nov A.D.
One Thousand Eight Hundred and 72.
 
The condition of the above Obligation is such, That if there be no lawful
excuse why F.L. Dawkins and Mip E.E. Carroll should not be joined together 
in the Holu union of Matrimony, then this obligation to be void; otherwise,
to remain in force and virtue.
