Signing bond as sureties were E.Y. Williams, G.W. Sayers & S.H. Hufham. Later the widow & Squire (Esquire) H. Burgess were co-admininstrators. William M. Burgess, son of William & Clarinda Burgess, died as a confederate Soldier. Squire H. Burgess was a brother. Heir: Lucinda Burgess, widow. (She signed her name as Sarah L. Burgess) Land: NE1/4 of NW1/4 of NW1/4 &20 acres of SW1/4 of NW1/4, all in Sec 4, & S1/2 of NE1/4 & NE1/4 of NE Sec. 5, all in T. 11, R. 19. A.C. Butler purchased the land at a private sale for $2200, half paid then & half to be paid by Jan. 1, 1870.
