Pike Co. 22 Jan 1832 I, James Williams knowing that it is appointed unto man to die and being perfficly sound in body Amen make and declare the following to be my last will and Testment, hereby revoking all other will and wills. Condicil of God, also heirs from by me made viz&during her widowhood whom I will and bequeath unto only dear wife Kissiah all my property consisting of our given lands with all goods and shall by me hold claim, except a certain stock of cattle and chattels by me made held claims, of my three youngest childre. Julia M., Kessiah L., Irvan Yancy Williams which I give unto them according thru having all two hundrend dollars who I give unto my sons Irvin Yancy for his Guardian after the death or marriage of my widow. As the case may be. I will that my said property to his above given shall be equally divided among all my children, together with Joanna HUFFHAM whom I make my lawful heir. I also will, bequeath unto my son in law Soloman HUFFHAM one dollar. Lastly I nominated and Appoint my wife and son John A. Williams executors of this my last will and testament. DEWIT bond book D pg. 54 Additional Comments: The orginial will of James Williams above was found in the basement of the Pike This will above was typed as it was found changes were not made or spelling corrected. His wife Kessiah's name was spelled several different ways in the will. His youngest son on different envelopes was written as E. Y. Evan, Evin, Ewin Yancey, all was found in the courthouse basementin Troy Al.in boxes with numbers on them. These envelopes where in different places. Along with them notes of depts receipts owed to James Williams from others. These were found and copied by the author in 1997.
