Hand, 38, died at his residence near Wedowee Oct. 9th. He is survived by his wife and a large family. Member of the Baptist Church." 1860 Census of Randolph County, Alabama shows: Harriet A. Hand Age 35 Born in GA Harriet Hand Age 15 Born in CA Mary J. Hand Age 13 Born in GA Martha W. Hand Age 11 Born in AL J.J. Hand (Male) Age 10 Born in AL R.F. Hand (Male) Age 8 Born in AL R.W. Hand (Male) Age 6 Born in AL Family members state that during the 1860's Harriet Narcisus White Hand and all the children except one son traveled to Texas.
