Zion Primitive Baptist Church was a member of the Hillabee Primitive Baptist Association in 1895. James I. Stewart and J.D. Young served as delegates for the church. In 1895 G.B. Knight was the pastor of the church of 22 members. Rev. Walter McMurray was a pastor of the church at one time in the early 1900's. The church building doubled as a school. Stewart, of Route 4, one of the prominent citizens of the Dingier community, died Thursday; August 17th, and his remains were laid to rest Wednesday at old Mt. Zion. He was a successful farmer honorable and upright citizen who was highly esteemed by all who knew him. He is survived by his widow and a son.
