A survey of this cemetery, by the Randolph County Historical Society on August 20, 1975, showed four graves, 2 with markers and two unmarked. The cemetery was vandalized and the markers removed. When the C. P. Perryman marker was found and reclaimed by the family, it was placed at Union Baptist Church Cemetery, where their descendants were active members. The C. P. Perryman marker still remains at Union Baptist Cemetery and the F. M. Perryman marker has never been found. This young man's name was Francis M. Perryman. He held a position which brought him in contact with all classes. In 1856 Francis M. Perryman was running against Joseph Curry for Probate Judge. Curry was elected on May 20, 1856. A letter to the Louina Eagle Newspaper. Rockdale Alabama Mar 25, 1856 Mr. Barron: In your editorial remarks in your paper on the 20th inst. you make detractions from my letter not warranted by the promises in saying I intimate Mr. Curry is not a Democrat. I do not assure to read men out of the ranks, because of a difference of opinion on a more side issue. I am willing that all men should be Democrats that wish to be. I endeavored to avoid everything like discourtesy and to use language that was plain, mild and forcible and not deeming your remarks dictated in the same spirit of forbearance. I shall leave them for the people to judge with comment from me. Judging from your past intercourse that "The voice of Jacob voice but the hands are the hands of Esaw" Verb in sat Supiontibue. Very Respectfully Francis M. Perryman
