REESE, Helen (WADLEY) Helen Reese, 50, of Wadley died Wednesday, Aug. 11, at Randolph County Hospital, Roanoke. Funeral services were Monday, Aug. 16, at 1 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Wadley, with the Rev. Calvin Trammell officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Survivors include her father, Charles Reese of Wadley; She was preceded in death by her mother, Essie Mae Reese. SLAUGHTER, Mary Kathryn (ROANOKE) Mary Kathryn Slaughter, 56, of Roanoke died Monday, March 11, 2002, at Wedowee Hospital, Wedowee. Services were Saturday, March 16, at 1 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Wadley, with the Rev. Cornelius Reese and the Rev. James Carlisle officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. Survivors included her husband, Beotha Slaughter of Roanoke; her mother, Ms. Thelma Delarnette; Mrs. Slaughter was born May 30, 1945, in Randolph County, daughter of the late James Anderson and Thelma Delarnette. STAPLES, Roy Jr., 67 of Wadley; d. Jun 15, 2003 at Hospice LaGrange, LaGrange, GA; preceded by parents, Hattie Meadows Staples and Roy Staples Sr. STAPLES, Roy Sr. (WADLEY) Roy Staples Sr., 88, of Wadley died Saturday, Feb. 17, 2001, in Lineville. Services will be at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Wadley, on Wednesday, Feb. 21, at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Tom Staples Jr. officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. STAPLES, Willie Young Jr. (WADLEY) Willie Young Staples Jr., 72, of Wadley died Saturday, May 20, 2000, at Clay County Nursing Home in Ashland. Funeral services will be at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Wadley, on Thursday, May 25, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Cornelius Reese officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Surviving are his wife, Gladys Staples of Wadley; WEAVER, Sarah F. (WADLEY) Sarah F. Weaver, 82, died May 15, 2002, at Clay Co Hosp, Ashland; survived by husband, John Wyatt Weaver.
