Girardi MMGir@aol.com In June 1989, Dianne S. Herren wrote the following concerning this cemetery: "We were able to identify ten unmarked graves in this cemetery. Due to the growth and condition of the cemetery, I feel that there were probably other graves here at one time. However, we could not find the field markers to identify them as markers for a grave." "There are no identifying markers of any kind in this cemetery - only graves marked with the large rocks at the head and foot of each grave. However, those who are familiar with this area state that this is the Spruce-Young Cemetery. No one seems to know if it is members of one family headed by a man named Spruce Young or if it is members of two families - the Spruce family and the Young family." ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Linda Ayres has added family information of which there is a possibility that some of them may be buried in this cemetery while others in this family may be buried at Ava Methodist Church Cemetery. Any family member or anyone with additional information on this family or their burial sites, please contact Linda http://www.genrecords.net/emailregistry/vols/00031.html#0007674 and we will make corrections.
