WITH 41 MEMBERS ---------------------------- Feeling the pressing need of some definite work to be performed by the young people in the Baptist church, a meeting was called at the church last Sunday evening at six o’clock, and a Baptist Young People’s Union was organized. There was a large number present at the initial meeting of this organization, forty-one being enrolled as active members. After a very encouraging talk by the pastor, Dr. RUCKER, the following officers were elected: H. G. BRADSHAW, president; J. F. HESTER, vice president; Miss Bessie BRUMBELOE, secretary; Miss Lesa KIRK, assistant secretary; J. H. STRONG, treasurer; Miss Mary L. EAST, pianist and Miss Winnie AWBREY, assistant. The meetings will be held every Sunday evening at six o’clock. It is especially urged that all members be present next Sunday, as the president’s committee appointments will be read then, and a cordial invitation is extended all who will to come and join.
