There were 12 churches in Chambers and Randolph Counties at the time. Jefferson Faulkner a young minster in Randolph County came to the area from Georgia. Jefferson Faulkner was the first pastor of the McDonald/Wedowee Baptist Church. In 1836 the Baptists built a church called High Pine Creek on the Wedowee road. Rev. B. Gross was the first pastor of that church. 1837: Rev. John Wood & James Spirlin presented a letter from High Pine Church Randolph County. Uriah Humphries and John Childs presented a letter from State Line Baptist Church Heard County GA. High Pine Baptist Church was received. 1839: Church: Delegates: New Hope Baptist Church Henry Ledbetter & Elbert Harris High Pine Baptist Church Wedowee Baptist Church Jefferson Faulkner & Jeremiah Stallings 1840: Church: Delegates: Members: High Pine Baptist Rev. John Wood & Wiley McClendon 34 New Hope Baptist Henry Ledbetter & Elbert Harris 50 McDonald [Wedowee] Baptist Jefferson Faulkner & J.W. Stallings 10 Ebeneezer [Now Clay] Baptist Thomas Ashcraft & Barnett Kinard 12 1845: Church: 3rd District Randolph County: Antioch Baptist New Hope Baptist Pinetucky Baptist [Now Cleburne] was admitted by letter Wedowee Baptist Ebeneezer Baptist [Now Clay] High Pine Baptist Spring Hill Baptist Emuckfaw Baptist 1846: Church: County Line Baptist [Now Clay] was received. 1847: Church: Liberty Baptist was received [Liberty, Louina Randolph County] [Rev. I.S. Weaver was the pastor of this church in 1850] Sep-1848: Meeting held at New Hope Church Randolph County. Church: Fellowship Baptist was received. 1850: Church: Pinetucky Baptist was dismissed. [Now Cleburne] 1851: Church: Big Springs Baptist Church was added to the body. 1852: Meeting held at High Pine Baptist Randolph County: New Hope Baptist & Big Springs Baptist were dismissed. Pastors: Antioch: Fellowship: Rev. Phillips Ebeneezer: John Wood [Now Clay County] New Hope: High Pine: Benj Gross County Line: [Now Clay County] Wedowee: A.C.A. Simmons Liberty: I.S. Weaver Big Springs: 1853: Church: Mt. Prospect Baptist was received. 1854: Church: Antioch Baptist Fellowship Baptist Ebeneezer Baptist [Now Clay] High Pine Baptist County Line Baptist [Now Clay] Wedowee Baptist Liberty Baptist Mt. Prospect Baptist Rechab Baptist, Talladega [Now Clay County?] 1855: Rechab Baptist Talladega [Now Clay], Mt. Prospect Baptist and County Line [Now Clay] Baptist of Randolph County, all three were dismissed by letter and entered the Carey Baptist Association. Churches 2nd District: Ebeneezer Baptist [Clay] High Pine Baptist Liberty Baptist Fellowship Baptist Wedowee Baptist Roanoke Baptist 1856: Meeting held at Wedowee Baptist Church Randolph County. Church: Paran Baptist Church was received. 1857: Elder Cumbie was licensed by Fellowship church in Randolph County Ala, October 3rd, 1857. He was ordained on October 30th, 1858 by Elders N.H. Mathews, Benj Gross and Gideon Leverett. 1859: Sharon and Macedonia Baptist Churches were received. Church: Members: High Pine Baptist 101 Liberty Baptist 37 Wedowee Baptist 42 Roanoke Baptist 43 Fellowship Baptist 136 Paran Baptist 29 Macedonia Baptist 23 Sharon Baptist 29 1868: Wedowee Baptist Church was dismissed. 1871: The Following Churches were dismissed by letter to the Rock Mills Baptist Association: Tallapoosa Baptist Union Baptist [Chambers] Fellowship Baptist [Randolph] Rocky Mount Baptist Stateline Baptist [Heard County GA] Sharon Baptist Paran Baptist [Randolph] Pleasant Grove Baptist Beulah Baptist [Tallapoosa] High Pine Baptist [Randolph] Macedonia Baptist [Randolph] Eagle Creek Baptist [Tallapoosa] All dismissed by letter. By 1872 only two churches in Randolph County remained in the Liberty East Baptist Association. 1885 Delegates: Liberty Baptist Randolph County: F.M. Handley & W.H. Stewart. Roanoke Baptist: G.W.
