In the 1890 the church had 54 members. Salem church hosted the Beulah Baptist Assocation meeting in 1891. January 30, 1847 We the presbatry of after divine service by Brother E. Jackson examined the following named members and found them to be orthodox in faith and we proceeded to constitute them upon the faith of the Beulah Baptist Association into a Church by the name of Salem Church. It is hoped that the Salem church, near Bacon Level, can be induced to move its membership here. The work of moving the house will be in in a few days. It will doubtless to be torn down and rebuilt.
