Barney SMITH and Vernon Franklin SMITH, of Lanett, were granted license to preach, while P. C. OLIVER, J. F. DUNN and M. L. SMITH, of Lanett, and T. B. JORDAN, of Ashland, were recommended for admission into the annual conference. This is a fine showing for the Roanoke District, and especially for the Lanett charge.
