MEETING OF COMMITTEE

   The licensing committee of the Roanoke District met at the district parsonage last Thursday 
[21 October 1915], all the members being present. Barney SMITH and Vernon Franklin SMITH, 
of Lanett, were granted license to preach, while P. C. OLIVER, J. F. DUNN and M. L. SMITH, 
of Lanett, and T. B. JORDAN, of Ashland, were recommended for admission into the annual 
conference. This is a fine showing for the Roanoke District, and especially for the Lanett 
charge.
