Abel, Mrs. Sarah [Morrison] widow of James M. Abel 
Enlisted as a private at Camp Curry Talladega County AL, Mar-1862 in Company G, 
30th Alabama Infantry, transferred to Company D, 13th Alabama Infantry.  He 
died in prison on Oct 10, 1863.
Widow is listed as HH in the 1880 Randolph County Census as HH with one child.

Abner, Mrs. Mary [Hull] widow of Levi Abner
Widow filed for his pension in Randolph County stating he was a private in 
Company H, 35th Regiment.  He died Apr 31,1865, unknown. 
Widow is listed on the 1880 Randolph County Census in the HH with of her son Wm 
Abner.
Widow died in near Wedowee Randolph County around 1915.

Almond, Mrs. Eliza widow of Elijah Almond
He enlisted in Company E, 56th Georgia Infantry as a private.
He died Apr 26, 1875. Widow is listed on the 1880 Randolph County Census as HH 
with three children. 

Arnold, Mrs. Vetura widow of James M. Arnold
He enlisted as a private in Company E, 17th Alabama Infantry.
He died Apr 7, 1862, record does not state where. 
Widow is listed on the 1880 Randolph County census as HH with one son. Widow 
died in Randolph County around 1900. 

Arnold, Mrs. Harriett widow of Thomas D. Arnold
He enlisted Sep 14, 1861 as a private in Company E, 17th Alabama Infantry. He 
died Apr 7, 1862.
Widow is listed on the 1880 Randolph County Census as HH with one son.
Her last pension record is dated 1914 Randolph County.

Arrington, Mrs. Anne widow of Charles Arrington
He enlisted in Company C, 56th Georgia Infantry. He died before 1870 possibly 
in Heard County GA. Widow is listed on the 1880 Randolph County Census as HH 
with three children. 

Austin, Mrs. Nancy [Owen [s]?] widow of William Austin
He enlisted in Wedowee Randolph County as a private in Company H, 31st Alabama 
Infantry.  He died Aug 21, 1864 record does not state where.  
Widow is listed as HH in the 1880 Randolph County Census with two children. 
Widow is listed on the 1900 Randolph County Census. 

Barfield, Mrs. Sarah [Woodson] widow of William P. Barfield
He enlisted Feb-1862 in Roanoke Randolph County as a private in Company I, 13th 
Alabama Infantry.
Died Sep 11, 1862 of wounds received at Mechanicsville Jun 27, 1862. 
Couple married in Bibb County GA.
Widow is listed as HH in the 1880 Randolph County Census. 
Widow died Jan 14, 1917 she was buried in Paren Cemetery Randolph County.

Bell, Mrs. Clarkey [Hartley] widow of William R. Bell
He enlisted as a private May 14, 1862 Wedowee Randolph County in Company G, 
47th Alabama Infantry.
He died Aug 12, 1862, died of Disease in VA. 
Widow is listed in the 1880 Randolph County Census as the HH with one daughter.
Widow died in 1885, she is buried in the Old Cool Springs Cemetery Randolph 
County.

Bowers, Mrs. Eliza A. widow of James Bowers 
Widow married 1. Simeon W. Conger he died around 1872, he was a private in 
Company F, 25th Alabama Infantry. Widow later married James Bowers around 1874 
in Tallapoosa County. James Bowers died about 1878 in Randolph County? Widow is 
listed on the 1880 Randolph County Census with two Conger daughters and a 
Bowers son. 

Bowen, Mrs. Harriett [Dobson] widow of James M. Bowen
He enlisted in 1863 in Company A, 53rd Alabama Partisan Rangers.
Widow filed a claim in 1863 Randolph County.
Widow is listed on the 1880 Randolph County Census in the HH of her father. 
Widow died Oct 10, 1891 she is buried in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery Randolph County. 

Bradford, Mrs. Mary widow of John Bradford
He enlisted as a private in Company F, 25th Alabama Infantry.
He died 1875-1880. Widow is listed on the 1880 Randolph County Census with five 
children. Note: Widow was married first to Micajah Mullins he was died during 
the Civil War and she later married John Bradford. 

Bradley, Mrs. Nancy [Kelley] widow of J. Bradley
Widow filed for his pension in Randolph County, pension record does not state 
Regiment.
Widow is listed on the 1880 Randolph County Census as HH with one daughter.
Widow died in Aug-1895, she was buried in the Bradley-Kelley Cemetery in 
Randolph County. The old Randolph County cemetery book complied around 1972 
lists the marker, which is now missing from the cemetery.  

Bryant, Mrs. Frances widow of Thomas Bryant
He enlisted as a private in Company F, 59th Alabama Infantry.
He died Jan 9, 1864.
Widow is listed on the 1880 Randolph County Census as HH with four children.  
Widow died Mar 16, 1905 buried Big Springs Randolph County. 

Brazell, Mrs. Mary widow of James K.P. Brazell 
He enlisted in Company E, 17th Alabama Infantry. He died 1875-1879, buried at 
Big Springs Randolph County. 
Widow is listed on the 1880 Randolph County Census as HH with two children.
Widow is also buried at Big Springs.

Brown, Mrs. Jemima A. widow of Hillary H. Brown
He enlisted in Company F, 59th Alabama Infantry he died in 1864
Widow is listed on the 1880 Randolph Census with three children.
Widow later filed for his pension in Randolph County.

Brumbeloe, Mrs. Elizabeth Caroline widow of Elam M. Brumbeloe
He was born Feb 4, 1830, died Jun 29, 1876, buried Pleasant Hill Baptist 
Randolph County.
Enlisted in 1861 Chambers County AL, in Company F, 14th Alabama Infantry, 
ranked out as a 2nd Sergeant. 
Widow is listed on the 1880 Randolph County Census with six children.
Widow died Apr 9, 1887 she also buried in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Burgess, Mrs. Mary [Mitchell] widow of Elias M. Burgess
He enlisted Jul 17, 1861 Montgomery AL at age 55 years, in Company K, 13th 
Alabama Infantry as a 3rd Lt. He was killed Jun 27, 1862 in the Battle of 
Mechanicsville. Couple married Sep 10, 1835 Franklin County GA.
Widow is listed on the 1880 Randolph County Census she never filed for his 
pension in Alabama.

Burson, Mrs. Amelia [Clifton] widow of Willis Burson 
He died in May 1864 
Her pension record states he was a private in Company G, 28th Regiment.  
Widow is listed on the 1880 Randolph County Census as HH with one child. 
Widow died in Navarro County Texas.

Caldwell, Mrs. Ellafair [Osborn] widow of Leonard Caldwell
He enlisted in 1862 in Company K, 46th Alabama Infantry. He died around 1880 in 
Randolph County?
Widow is listed on the 1880 Randolph County Census as HH with two children.

Camp, Mrs. Susan [Hendrix] widow of Seaborn Camp
He enlisted in Company I, 13th Alabama Infantry. He died in Randolph County 
during or soon after the war.
Widow is listed on the 1880 Randolph County Census with four children, Widow is 
listed on 1900 Marshall County AL Census. 

Cardwell, Mrs. Lucinda [Dixon/Dickson] widow of John Cardwell
He enlisted in Chambers County Alabama as a private in Faulkner’s Company of 
Cavalry. He died before 1870 in Chambers County? 
Widow is listed on the 1880 Randolph County Census in the HH of her father Wade 
H. Dixon with two daughters.

Cardwell, Mrs. Samantha widow of Frances M. Caldwell
He enlisted in the 4th Alabama Regiment. He died during the war.
Widow is listed on the 1880 Randolph County Census as HH with her son.

Chaffin, Mrs. Martha [Dingler] widow of Moses B. Chaffin
He enlisted Jun 4, 1864 in Company I, 8th Confederate Cavalry.  
He was born Feb 25, 1823, killed in Petersburg VA Jul 30, 1864
Couple married Jan 3, 1845 Henry County GA. 
Widow is listed on the 1880 Randolph County Census as HH with three children. 
Widow died Jan 25, 1907 she was buried in the Chaffin Family Cemetery Randolph 
County. 

Childers, Mrs. Martha [Vinson] widow of John C. Childers
He was a private in Company H, 60th Georgia Infantry. He died May 18, 1863.
Widow is listed on the 1880 Randolph County Census in the HH of Peter Bailey. 
Widow died in 1903 in Limestone County TX. 

Cofield, Mrs. Caroline [Rice] widow of Thomas Grissom Cofield 
He was born May 5, 1842, died Feb 10, 1876, buried Cofield-Rice Family Cemetery 
Randolph County. Enlisted in Randolph County in the 50/26th Alabama Infantry.
Widow is listed on the 1880 Randolph County Census with four children. Widow is 
listed on the 1900 Franklin County Alabama Census.  

Conaway, Mrs. Jane [Swann] widow of George Conaway 
He enlisted May-1863 as a private in Wesobulga Randolph County in Company G, 
46th Alabama Infantry.
He died in prison May 4, 1865 buried Camp Chase Cemetery. 
Widow is listed on the 1880 Randolph County Census with three children.
Widow died in 1898 she was buried in Ebenezer Cemetery in Clay County AL.

Cosper, Mrs. Rebecca [Merrill] widow of George R. P. Cosper 
He enlisted Apr 24, 1862 Arbacoochee, Randolph County AL as a private in 
Company I, 44th Alabama Infantry. 
He was born Dec 4, 1824, died Jun 21, 1862, Selma Alabama, marker in Bethlehem 
Campground Randolph County. 
Widow is listed on the 1880 Randolph County Census as HH with two children.
Widow died Aug 9, 1887, widow is buried Bethlehem Cemetery Randolph County.

Crews, Mrs. Sarah [Vowell] widow of James Riley Crews 
He enlisted Jul 26, 1861 as a private at age 44 years Montgomery AL in Company 
K, 13th Alabama Infantry.He died May 21, 1862 Richmond VA. 
In 1880 widow is living with her sister-in-law Amanda Vowell, no other record 
has been found after 1880.

Criswell, Mrs. Disey widow of James Criswell
He enlisted as a private in Company F, 14th Alabama Infantry he died Oct 10, 
1869 he was buried in Fellowship Cemetery Randolph County. 
Widow is listed on the 1880 Randolph County Census with three children. 
Widow died in 1902 also buried at Fellowship Randolph County.

Crook, Emory Andrew, born Oct 20, 1834, died Sep 24, 1870, buried Bethlehem 
Campground Randolph County.
Enlisted in 14th Alabama Infantry in Chambers County AL. 
Widow is listed on the 1880 Randolph County Census with two children. 

Entrekin, Mrs. Martha [Burrow] widow of William S. Entrekin 
He was born Sep 6, 1834, died Sep 3, 1873, buried Mt Prospect Randolph County. 
Private, Company A, 28th Alabama Infantry. Widow filed for pension in Randolph 
County. Couple married in 1868 in Mt. Zion GA. 
Widow is listed on the 1880 Randolph County Census as HH with three children. 
Widow died Dec 5, 1922. 

Ferguson, Mrs. Hannah widow of Robert Ferguson 
He enlisted as a private in Company F, 25th Alabama Infantry, he was discharged 
he died around 1866. 
Widow is listed on the 1880 Randolph County Census with one child. 
Widow never filed for his pension in Alabama, however her oldest son Jackson 
Ferguson moved to MS and she may have also left the County with him.

Fetner, Mrs. Elizabeth [Johns?] widow of James J. Fetner 
He enlisted Jan 23, 1862 as a private in Company F, 25th Alabama Infantry. He 
died during the war.
Widow Mrs. Eliza Fetner of Almond AL filed a claim in 1863. 
Widow is listed on the 1880 Randolph County Census with four children.

French, Mrs. Samantha [Harris] widow of William J. French
He enlisted as a private in Walthall’s Battalion.
Widow is listed on the 1880 Randolph County Census with one child.
Widow died Jan 28, 1922 she is buried in Harmony Cemetery Randolph County. 

Gatlin, Mrs. Sarah widow of John E. Gatlin
He enlisted Apr 26, 1862 Louina Randolph County as a private in Company K, 46th 
Alabama Infantry. He was killed Nov 25, 1863 Missionary Ridge GA.  Widow is 
listed on the 1880 Randolph County Census with two children. Widow died in 
1906, she is buried at Forrester’s Chapel Randolph County.

Gaunnt, Mrs. Mary widow of William N. Gaunnt
He enlisted Sep 21, 1861 as a private in Company F, 14th Alabama Infantry he 
died in Dec-1861 in VA.
Widow is listed on the 1880 Randolph County Census with two children. 

Gibson, Mrs. Barbara [Knight] widow of George W. Gibson
He enlisted Apr 1, 1862 Wedowee Randolph County at age 44 years in Company H, 
31st Alabama Infantry. He died Jul 12, 1863.

Giles, Mrs. Nancy [McCormick] widow of Allen Giles 
He enlisted as a private Sep 5, 1861 Randolph County in Company K, 14th Alabama 
Infantry.
He was born Jun 1, 1820, died May 29, 1865 Maryland POW Camp.
Couple married in Campbell County GA. 
Widow is listed on the 1880 Randolph County Census in the HH of her son Marion 
Giles. Widow died in Marshall County AL. 

Gray, Mrs. Frances M. widow of William W. Gray
He enlisted Apr 26, 1862 Louina Randolph County as a private in Company K, 46th 
Alabama Infantry.
He died Aug 30, 1864 [Sent home sick]

Widow died Nov 4, 1899 she was buried in Old Liberty Cemetery Louina Randolph 
County. 

Gregg, Mrs. Amelia [Cotton] Gregg widow of John Nelson Gregg Sr.
He enlisted as a private in Company G, 22nd Alabama Infantry.
He died 1862 Mississippi.

Widow died Feb 13, 1891 she was buried in Liberty Church of Christ Cemetery 
Randolph County. 

Green, Mrs. Frances [Carpenter] widow of Henry T. Green
He enlisted in the 8th Confederate Regiment widow filed a claim in 1862. Widow 
is listed on the 1880 Randolph County Census with one son. Widow later married 
a Mr. Gauntt she died in 1902 she is buried in the Old Wedowee Cemetery 
Randolph County. 

Green, Mrs. Jane widow of William I. Green
He enlisted in Company I, 13th Alabama Infantry. He died in Fort Delaware 
prison during the war. 
Widow is listed on the 1880 Randolph County Census as HH with three children.
Widow filed for his pension in Randolph County. 

Harris, Mrs. Leah [Maddox/Mattox] widow of Greenberry Harris
He first enlisted in Creek Indian War in 1836 and at the age of 52 years he 
enlisted in Company K, 34th Georgia Infantry. He died 1862 in the hospital at 
Mineral Springs TN. Widow filed for his pension in Randolph County in 1887. 
Widow is listed on the 1880 Randolph County Census. Widow later filed for his 
pension in Cleburne County AL.

Hester, Mrs. Eliza widow of James Hester
He enlisted as a private in Company F, 59th Alabama Infantry. 
He died 1864 in-Hospital.
Widow is listed on the 1880 Randolph County Census as HH with one child. Widow 
is listed on the 1900 Randolph County Census.

Higginbotham, Mrs. Lucinda widow of William Higginbotham
He enlisted May 14, 1862 as a private in Company G, 47th Alabama Infantry.

never filed for his pension in Alabama. 

Hinton, Mrs. Elizabeth [Wood] widow of Wiley B. Hinton 
He enlisted as a private Oct 24, 1862 Roanoke Randolph County AL in Company I, 
13th Alabama Infantry.
He died Nov 24, 1864 of disease Richmond VA.

He enlisted in Company C, 3rd Georgia Regiment. He died Oct-1864.

Kerr, Mrs. Martha [Reaves] widow of David Kerr
He enlisted in Hilliard's Legion/59th Alabama Infantry in Randolph County. 
He was born Jan 30, 1823, He was killed at the Battle of Drewry's Bluff, 
Virginia May 16, 1864.

died Mar 1, 1918 she was buried in the Wedowee City Cemetery Randolph County.

SC during the war.

He enlisted in Company I, 44th Alabama Infantry he died during the war.

He was born 1825, died 1875, buried Providence Randolph County 
Enlisted as a private in Company K, 34th Georgia Infantry.
Couple married in 1848 in Carroll County GA.

He was born Mar 11, 1833, died Oct 24, 1874, buried Fellowship Randolph County. 
He enlisted in Ferrell's Georgia Battery Light Artillery.

McElroy, Mrs. Catherine [Nix] widow of Henry McElroy
He enlisted as a private in Company H, 7th Alabama Cavalry, he died in 1880 
Randolph County he is buried in Liberty Church of Christ Cemetery Randolph 
County.
