Bozeman, Roanoke, Ala Feb. 12th, 1915 Mr. F.S. Ferguson, Dear Sir, I will write you a few lines concurning my pensions. Will tell you just how it is with me. I am sick with cold and lagrip and I can't get out to see about my pension. In the year 1863 I was conscripted to go to the war and when thay put me before the board thay refused to put me on duty because I was hard of hearing so thay detailed me to go to the shoe shop for the soldiers. So I worked rite thair til the war broke. I was working for the confederet soldiers this was in Columbus, GA. I think I am entitled to a pention. Well I have bin drawing about 12 years. We never had no captin but we worked under a boss every day. I don't see why tha would stop me from drawing. I was bornd in 1846, March the 15th so you look over this and see if you ton't hink that I am entitled to draw. I have bin drawing 60 dollars a year. Yours very truley, E.P. Bozeman. Witness: M.E. Bozeman. State of Alabama, Randolph County Regarding E.P. Boseman, Post Office Roanoke, Ala. Route No. 4 Before me John T. Heflin, Judge of Probate of said county, personally appeared Joseph B. Hood who being duly sworn deposeth and saith as follows: I am personally acquianted with E.P. Boseman. I wrote to the Confederate Camp at Columbus, GA and the camp furnished the proof shown on his application when the pension was granted. Joseph R. Hood, Randolph Co., Alabama.
