Anniston Star November 19, 1939
Mr. Gay Foster of Wedowee, Route 1, has a garage that is covered with Alabama 
tags from the year 1930 to 1937. He has approximately 3.500 tags, all of which 
were carry over tags in these years. Every kind of tag made in Alabama can be 
found on the garage lined up in rows. Mr. Foster had a hard, cold job in getting 
part of these tags as he pulled about 1.000 out of the river at Foster's Bridge. 
Also Mr. Foster informed us that this garage attracted quite a bit of attention 
when the road by his house was used as a detour during the paving of the 
Anniston-Wedowee Highway.
