News reached here yesterday of the first accident under the new Game and Fish 
law. 
In Randolph County just across the line from this county Babe Taylor and a 
neighbor named Rice were out turkey hunting, when Rice nearing a call and 
thinking it that of a turkey saw something move, fired and the contents of his 
gun entered the body of his friend, producing very painful, though not fatal 
wounds. It was purely accidental as the parties are good friends and the affair 
is much regretted.
