It was, sent to us by Smith, Johnson and Smith Heflin, Ala., and was grown by Mr. F. M. Dingier, of Dingler, Randolph, county, Ala. It weighs eleven pounds and measures 27 itches in, length. The beet suggests to our mind that now is the opportune time for us to start a mammoth vegetable conservatory, and also that we Captain Dingler a vote of official thanks. We have enough beet now to last us until time melts into the next with 4th of July we have certain. (Call at the National Bank have all your doubts dissolved away into the great unknown). We will not buy any more vegetables this season.
