It is alleged that Bailey stabbed Suddeth to death with a pocketknife while Suddeth slept in his bunk in the prison barracks. No reason has been given, for the crime. Bailey has declined to discuss the killing. He is serving a ten-year sentence for forgery, while Sudduth had only three months more of an eight-year sentence of grand larceny. Hamp Draper, warden of the prison made an official report of the killing to the convict department today that Bailey had been removed to the Elmore County jail.
