LOCAL NEWS AND COMMENT

   The editor is pleased to learn that Dr. James A. USSERY, of Bacon Level, this county, 
graduates today from the medical college in Mobile and has secured the position of intern 
at the City Hospital for one year—the most desirable place open to students. The Leader 
congratulates this splendid yong [sic] man, and remarks again that our boys nearly always 
do well.
