Sheriff Ralph Gunn reported Saturday James Key 23 Route 3 Heflin Ala is being held in jail in connection with the shooting of James Key 20 of north Randolph County following an argument at the Riverside Inn about four miles south of here the sheriff said The Keys are not related. Roanoke Leader Mar 24, 1960: About noon last Thursday in Randolph Circuit Court, the jury returned a verdict of second-degree murder against Jack Key, and he was sentenced to 17 years in the penitentiary. He had been charged with the first-degree murder of another young man, James Clion Key (no relation) as the result of a shooting at Riverside Inn north of Wedowee on Highway 431.
