He was enroute home from Atlanta. While out possum hunting with a party not so long-ago Mr. Knight had an experience that he will never forget. The dogs had treed a possum on the opposite side of a good large creek and the hunters began looking for a place to cross the stream. The moon was low and caused a good shadow to fall from object. The shadow of a large tree was across the creek and in the hurry Mr. Knight thought it to be a foot log. "Come on boys" he said and went down over a six feet embankment and into five feet of water. It is needless to say that he lost interest in the possum.
