The Weekly Advertiser April 13, 1880
The Wedowee Journal: 
William Lawson, colored, who lives a mile and a half from this place, is 62 years 
old, and is the father of 63 children, the youngest being over 8 years old. He 
has 75 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. These are all that he knows of. 

Additional Comments:
William Lawson died in 1899 and he is buried in the Old Wedowee City Cemetery, 
Randolph County, AL.
