The store was entered through a rear window, from which a bar was broken out, and safes in the store and in the post office were battered open with a sledgehammer, the sheriff said. Some $50 in silver was taken from the store safe and about the same amount of silver from the repository in the post office. U. S. postal inspectors and state investigators are assisting in the case. Merchandise taken included cigarettes and meat. Sheriff Gunn said there appeared to be about three persons involved in the entry. No arrest had been made, this morning.
