P. Morrison, I saw one on the back porch that is in perfect condition and is still in use. Mr. Morrison said he had gone to sleep many times when a child listening to the hum of this wheel while his mother was busy spinning thread that was to be used in making clothes for the family. When I asked him how old it was, he said he didn't know, but that it had been in the family ever since he could remember. Mr. Morrison is 61 years old and has lived at the same place for the last 42 years. He lives within a mile of where he was born and raised. "I was 23 years old before I was in a show and that was in Anniston," he said.
