F. Morrison of Rt. 1, Wedewee, who recently celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. Both Mr. and Mrs. Morrison's families were pioneer settlers of Randolph County. They are the parents of 11 children, all of whom are living, 19 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. The children present at the surprise celebration were: Mrs. Bessie Waters, Wedowee; Mrs. Cora Lee Currie, Anniston; Mrs. D. H. Floyd, Delta; A.H. Morrison, New Orleans; Mrs. Whit Wilkerson, Anniston; Mrs. Malcomb Jernigan, Dublin. Ga and Mrs. Talmon Cofield, Wedowee. Those unable to attend were: Needham Morrison, Texas; Dewey Morrison, Florida; Miss Mavis Morrison, Talladega, and William Burns Morrison, U. S. Army Southwest Pacific. Among others present were: Whit Wilkerson and son, Wallace, Mrs. Cloyce O. Sills and son, Donald, Royce Currie of Anniston, Malcomb Jernigan, Jr., Dublin, Ga. Talmon Cofield, U. S. Navy, and children, Carlyn and Jerry, Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Cofield and children, Carrie Jean and Junior, Billy Price, Prof. D. H. Floyd, Delta. Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Barker of Barfield, Mrs. Maudie Hewitt and daughter of Sylacauga, Mrs. S. E. Blake, Heflin, Mrs. Gus Blake and Miss Gwendola Blake, Wedowee, and Miss Bonnie Minton of Anniston.
