C. Pittman, wife of C.C. Pittman deceased lost her barn last Tuesday night by fire. The alarm was given about. 8:30 o'clock, and in a few minutes a large crowd gathered, but were too late to control the dashing flames. She lost all of her corn, hay and fodder. The mules were driven out just in time to be saved, but they were night badly scorched. Mrs. Pittman had just bought a handsome tomb to put over her husband's grave and had put it in the barn until she was ready to have it put up, but sad to say, it was also lost, the fire ruined it. Total loss about five hundred dollars.
