[Marion] S. BINGHAM, engineer, who will have charge of the construction work of the model road, will have his headquarters with Mr. R. C. SMITH, at Oakland [northwest Alabama]. Mr. BINGHAM has only recently returned from Mexico, where he was engaged in engineering work on one of the new railroads there. When the revolution broke out he found it convenient to return to Alabama, as he had fallen into disfavor with the authorities there. -- [Originally published in the] Florence Times [From The Roanoke Leader (Randolph County, Alabama), 6 September 1911, p.1]
