[Excerpt from] CONTRACT IS LET FOR ALL BRIDGES

   Wedowee, May 3.—Messrs. John CARLISLE, William WEATHERS, Dr. J. T. BURNS, Dr. SWANN and 
John H. KAYLOR each purchased a new five passenger Ford car last week, making eleven cars 
for our little town now. It’s whispered that there may be a purchaser for a truck for 
hauling our freight soon. The whisper is neither affirmed nor denied by the party accused.
