Price in this city where he had been taken and lovingly cared for soon after his return to Roanoke last week, Tyler Stewart breathed his last at 8:15 Saturday night last. Some weeks ago he had a spell of fever in Montgomery and in vain he strove to regain his health. Consumption developed and rapidly did its fatal work. His devoted father and mother with relatives, friends and physicians, gave him every attention in his days of suffering. Sunday afternoon the funeral occurred at Concord, conducted by Rev. H.J. Holliday and attended by a large concourse of friends, many going from Roanoke and Wedowee, where the deceased formerly lived. Tyler was the eldest child of Mr. and Mrs. M.P. Stewart of Level Road. He was 24 years of age and was a fine specimen of robust manhood before disease seized upon him. He was rapidly rising in the business world and he made friends wherever he went. During his last illness he was calm and conscious and in this condition he manifested an interest in religious matters. A bright and promising life has ended and the premature ending is exceedingly sad. The sympathy of many hearts go out to the bereaved. ___ MARRIED IN NEWNAN In Cupid's kingdom the unexpected frequently happens. While it has been known that Mr. Robt. M. Causey and Miss Lola Manley were sweethearts, no intimation was given that they were so soon to become husband and wife. Some days ago Miss Manley went to visit relatives in Newnan, Georgia. Last Sunday night Mr. Causey made an adroit movement through the country and boarded a train at LaGrange, proceeding to Newnan. There he met his affianced and at 4 o'clock Monday afternoon they were married. A telegram to that effect was sent by a relative to the bride's parents and in return a message was indicted, inviting Mr. and Mrs. Causey to return home. They arrived on yesterday evening's train. The groom is the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. N.C. Causey and is bookkeeper for Schuessler & Co. His bride is the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C.D. Manley and is an accomplished young woman. The Leader wishes for them a useful and happy wedded life. __ MR. J.F. BARRON WRITES FROM TEXAS To Editor of The Leader: Mrs. Barron died after an illness lasting eight days, from something like Bright's disease. Her sickness was short but it was very intense. It was simply heartwrenching to look on powerless to give relief. Everything was done that could be done by tender hands. We miss her very much, home does not seem like home without her, but she is gone. Kind hands prepared the most elaborate flower decorations I ever saw. Our hearts were all broken up anyway and when the last crowning set came at the burial, four men bearing a large sheet with flowers and green asparagus twigs sowed all over, large enough to cover the whole grave, and bunches of flowers in different shapes and the pastor looked and saw the arrangement of flowers, then turned our way and said "what more could loving hands do." Our hearts were overcome and we could but weep the more. She was laid to rest in Rose Hill cemetery to await the Lord's coming. Pray for us in our sad bereavement. J.F.
