About a year ago, Charlie Foster and Emmett Keeble had a row in which the latter injured the former severely. He was convicted of assault with intent to murder and sentenced to two years in the penitentiary. A petition for his parole received the signatures of many court officials and others. Last Thursday, Senator Weathers went down to interview the Governor in behalf of the convicted man, who accompanied him. Mr. Foster was also in the party to beg for mercy for his former antagonist.
