KEEBLE WAS A GREAT SHOCK In the death of Mr. John H. Keeble his family sustained an irreparable loss and not only they, but the family friends of the deceased were profoundly shocked. Mr. Keeble was a successful farmer who lived at the old homestead, four miles west of Roanoke, which he had purchased of his father's estate. It was there that his death occurred early Monday morning. The conduct of Mr. Keeble was such as to cause his family some uneasiness for some time prior to this date, as he was known to be worrying over some debts that he had made, although his creditors had not even called upon him to settle. He was an honest man and respected citizen. He seemed unable to throw off the melancholy that seized hold upon him. Leaving the house at dawn, he went down to the pasture and put an end to his life, using a shotgun. At 11 o'clock Tuesday morning, interment of the body of the unfortunate man was made at Mt. Zion, after services conducted by his pastor, Rev. J.D. Dollar, assisted by Rev. G.E. Wallace.
