E. Fields, of Blountsville, We are glad to hear that through the earnest and incessant efforts of his counsel, George W. Darden, Esq, Gov. Thomas G. Jones was induced to pardon the old man and restore him to full citizenship. During his term of office Governor Jones never performed a more praiseworthy act.
