ABBIE KNIGHT Died at her home near Malone, Alabama on the 11th of April 1898, Mrs. Abbie Knight, in the 29th year of her age. She was born near Louina, Randolph County. Her maiden name was Abbie Daniel. She was married to Mr. William Knight in 1887. She joined the M.E. Church at Pine Grove in 1887, and lived a faithful member until death. She had been afflicted several years, ws denied the privilege of meeting at the church often but always seemed to enjoy herself religiously when her health would permit her to be there. She leaves a husband and one little girl and many heart stricken relatives and friends to mourn her loss but hers is eternal gain. Her seat is vacant in the family circle, one more new grave in the graveyard, a seat vacant in the church, another occupied in heaven. Her sufferings were long and most severe. For nearly 5 long months she was confined to her bed. All was done for the sufferer that medical skilll or human kindness could do. Several weeks before she died she spent part of one day praising the good lord and thanking him for his mercy and exhorting all that were present to be faithful. She was finally resigned to the will of the good lord. She asked her relatives and friends to see that her little girl was raised right. She said it was hard to part with that precious little girl but told her that she was raised without a mother, and she could be, and that God would do what was right. Her funeral services were conducted at the graveyard by Bro. Bowman and were very impressive. We can say to the husband and child strive to meet her in that better land; to her aged father, brother and sister, take the advice she gave you and yuu will some day be with Abbie never to part. In the resurrection we shall see her in all her heavenly glory; till then, farewell Abbie. ____ LOCAL News The Toiler regrets to note that Mrs. R.S.
