G. FLOYD. Members present: Drs. W. G. FLOYD, J. R. HOOD, W. H. POOL, P. G. TRENT, Jr, H. B. DISHAROON, W. L. HEFLIN, J. M. WELCH, W. H. McCLENDON, and L. L. WHITE. Visitors present: Drs. I. H. LANE, W. P. SMITH, J. P. MOTLEY and Mr. J. T. STRIPLIN. The minutes of the last meeting were read and adopted. The reporters being called, Drs. P. G. TRENT, Sr. and P. E. DEAN were absent. Dr. J. R. HOOD stated that he had his paper prepared, but through some mistake had failed to bring it with him. Dr. J. M. WELCH asked to be excused as he had not had time to prepare a paper, but promised to be ready next meeting. P. G. TRENT, Jr. presented to the society a plan regarding collections which was unanimously adopted, as follows: As a certain class will employ a physician for a time and leave him with an unpaid account, and employ another; therefore, the undersigned physicians of Randolph and Chambers Cos., Ala., and Heard Co., Ga, have agreed, one with the other, that in the future they each and severally will render no service to any person, under any consideration, who is owing any one of their number, a physician’s account, and does not make a satisfactory arrangement for paying the same. (Signed) On motion, Drs. H. B. DISHAROON, W. H. POOL, and P. G. TRENT, Jr., were appointed a committee to get up stationary, etc, for this association, and also as a standing committee of arbitration upon all matters that may be brought before them. On motion of Dr W. L. HEFLIN, it was adopted that the proceedings of this meeting be published in the county papers.
