J H NIX was elected chairman and J L GREGG secretary of the Republican committee for the next two years. The following executive committee was chosen: Beat 1, Marvin WALKER; beat 2, C G COFIELD; beat 3, Fred KITCHENS; beat 4, T J DANIEL; beat 5, N L LANGLEY; beat 6, R M SWANN; beat 7, B F TAYLOR; beat 8, J W CLARADY; beat 9, R L WILLIAMS; beat 10, Adolphus HUEY; beat 11, J M KEEBLE; beat 12, Y C BASS; beat 13, Wyatt COFIELD beat 14, E W COFIELD. The meeting endorsed President ROOSEVELT’s administration, Secretary TAFT for president, and J O THOMPSON for reelection as chairman of the state committee. The following resolutions were adopted: Whereas, we believe it is to the interest of the Republican party of Randolph county, Ala, that a Republican county ticket be nominated for Randolph county, Alabama. Therefore, be it resolved by this Republican mass meeting of Randolph county, that a mass meeting be called to meet at Wedowee, Ala, Saturday, May 16th, 1908, for the purpose of nominating a full Republican county ticket. 2nd, resolved that this Republican mass meeting endorse Hon H GIBSON as a national delegate to the National Republican Convention at Chicago.
