Dr. G. M. SALIBA and W. T. ORR were elected to represent Roanoke Camp. S. C. FAUSETT and H. D. MYHAND were chosen as alternates. The East Alabama W.O.W. Convention has pledged its support to Dr. G. M. SALIBA for representation to the Sovereign Camp, which convenes in San Francisco, Cal., next June. As there are seven of these representatives to go from Alabama, and the fact that some of the most prominent men in Alabama Woodcraft have already offered for these positions, the contest will be a spirited one at the Head Camp, and the outcome will be looked to with keenest interest by all Woodmen throughout the state. [From The Roanoke Leader (Randolph County, Alabama), 10 February 1915, p.1] ---------------------------- BRIEF LOCAL AND PERSONAL NEWS ---------------------------- Dr. G. M. SALIBA and Mr. W. T. ORR, delegates from the local lodge Woodmen of the World, left Monday for Selma to attend the meeting of the Head Camp, which convenes three days this week in that city. Several other neighboring lodges are also represented. Dr. SALIBA’s friends are urging his claims as one of the representatives to be elected to attend the Sovereign Camp that meets in San Francisco, California. [From The Roanoke Leader (Randolph County, Alabama), 10 March 1915, p.5] ---------------------------- BRIEF LOCAL AND PERSONAL NEWS ---------------------------- The local delegation has returned from the Woodmen's Camp at Selma. They had a good time except for the fact that Roanoke's candidate for delegate to the big meet in San Francisco was left off the slate. The next Head Camp wil be held at Dothan.
