Ashland Progress April 21, 1941
Thomas McDonald, farmer across the line in Randolph County, was bitten by a 
rattlesnake while in his crib Sunday morning, getting out some corn to feed. Mr. 
McDonald stamped the snake to death, before summoning help from the family to 
cord his arm. He was rushed to Ashland for medical aid. He is thought to be out 
of danger. 

Additional Comments:
Thomas McDonald recovered and lived until 1964.
