Richie Farrow, the Rev. Clifford DeLee, the Rev. Zenus Windsor, the Rev. Paul Wilson and the Rev. Tim Whaley officiating.  Burial was in Wadley Cemetery.    Mr. Hall died Friday, Nov. 28, at his home.    Survivors include a daughter, Jan H. Roberts of Dalton, Ga.; a son, Jerry Hall of Wadley; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.    Pallbearers were Jack Brand, Guy Kelly, J. W. Weaver, Jimmy Hall, Scott Sims and Zack Baggett.    The family suggests memorial contributions be made to East Alabama Hospice (665 Opelika Road, Auburn, AL 36830) or American Cancer Society (P.O. Box 1155, Anniston, AL 36202).    A lifelong resident of this area, Mr. Hall was born July 12, 1921, in Chambers County, son of Dorson and Gladys Hodnett Hall.  He was a member of Wadley Baptist Church and the owner/operator of Hall's Red & White in Wadley. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sara Edge Hall; and a brother, Wesley Hall.    Arrangements were by Quattlebaum Funeral Home, Roanoke. __________ Catherine Stephens    (ANNISTON) Services for Catherine Stephens, 84, of Anniston, formerly of Jacksonville, were Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2003, at noon at Anniston Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. John Brown officiating.  Burial was in Anniston Memorial Gardens.    Mrs. Stephens died Sunday, Nov. 30, at Stringfellow Memorial Hospital.    Survivors include four daughters, Marynell Landrum of Pell City, Betty Sue Smith of Atlanta, Judy E. Cox of Birmingham and Debra Jean Stephens of Anniston; two sons, Terry Dean Stephens of Pell City and Danny G. Stephens of Jacksonville; three sisters, Christine Haynes of Fairfax, Lavern McCollough of Lanett and Louise Self of Roanoke; a brother, Bill Earl of LaFayette; thirteen grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.    Mrs. Stephens was of the Christian faith.  She was preceded in death by her husband Hannibal Junior Stephens and her daughter, Ann Stephenson. __________ Odessa Cofield Jones    (PIEDMONT) Services for Odessa Cofield Jones, 89, of Piedmont, were Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2003, at 11 a.m. at Philadelphia Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Dyer officiating.  Burial followed in the adjoining cemetery with Thompson Funeral Home in charge.    Mrs. Jones died Saturday, Nov. 29, at Piedmont Health Care Center.    Survivors include seven daughters, Ruth Clark of Pell City, Bonnie Huddleston of Jacksonville, Mattie Mathis of Kingston, Tenn., Linda Thrash Bobby of Ohatchee, Myra Jones of Baton Rouge, La., Sharon Law of Dallas, Ga., and Mary Amerson of Spring Garden; four sons, James "J.W." Jones of Silver Creek, Ga., Perry Jones and M. C. Jones of Piedmont, and Randy Jones of Abingdon, Md.; four brothers, Harbert Cofield and Griffin Cofield, both of Gadsden, Harding Cofield of Hokes Bluff, and John Lewis Cofield of Huntsville; 21 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.    Mrs. Jones was a Randolph County native and had been a Piedmont resident most of her life.  She was a homemaker and a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband John P. Jones. __________ Lois Inez McIntyre    Services for Lois Inez McIntyre, 87, of Heflin were Saturday, Nov. 29, 2003, at 11 a.m. at Heflin Baptist Church with Dr. Don Carroll and the Rev. Phillip Morris officiating.  Burial was in Heflin City Cemetery with Dryden Funeral Home in charge.    Miss McIntyre died Wednesday, Nov. 26, at Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center.    Survivors include a sister, Jean Hix of Phenix City; and a niece, Margie M. Brown of Greensboro, N.C.    Pallbearers were former students.    Miss McIntyre was a native of Randolph County and a resident of Cleburne County most of her life.  She retired from the Cleburne County Board of Education as a teacher with 43 years of service.  She was a graduate of Auburn University, a member of Heflin Baptist Church, the AEA and the Alabama Retired Teachers Association.  She was preceded in death by a sister, Ann McIntyre Edwards; and a brother, C. L. McIntyre.    In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Heflin Baptist Church. __________ Betty Jane Owens Walker    (FRANKLIN, Ga.) Betty Jane Owens Walker, 64, of Franklin, Ga., died Sunday, Nov. 23, 2003, at Carrollton Manor Nursing Home in Carrollton, Ga.    Services for Mrs. Walker were Wednesday, Nov. 26, at First Baptist Church of Franklin, with the Revs. Talmadge Chandler and Ronnie Jordan officiating.  Music was by Bryan and Luanne Owensby and Keith Cornelius, son-in-law of Mrs. Walker. Serving as pallbearers were Jeff Walker, Chris Walker, Russel Massa, Tim Massa, Rickey Massa and Randy Adamson.  Interment was in Randolph Memory Gardens in Rock Mills.    Mrs. Walker was born in Randolph County to the late Jesse Wallace Owens and Myrtle Lucille Hall Owens.  For many years she served in the nursing profession, where she brought love and care to all her patients.  In her latter years she enjoyed being a housewife and mother.  She was a member of Franklin First Baptist Church.    Survivors include one daughter, Ginger Cornelius of Carrollton, Ga.; three sons, Rick Walker of Rome, Ga., and Billy and Danny Walker of LaGrange, Ga.; one sister, Annette Massa of Fran[k]lin, Ga.; and eight grandchildren.    Arrangements were by Tom Stutts & Son Funeral Home, Franklin. __________ E. C. Houston    (ROANOKE) Services for E. C. Houston, 92, of Roanoke were Saturday, Nov. 29, 2003, at 1 p.m. at Friendship Baptist Church, Wadley, with the Rev. Calvin Trammell officiating.  Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.    Mr. Houston died Monday, Nov. 24, at his residence.    Mr. Houston is survived by two sons, Willie Lewis Houston of Decatur, Ga., and Jesse Gene Houston of Mableton, Ga.; four daughters, Nora Holloway, Catherine Williams and Gertrude Kelley of Atlanta and Mary Francis Johnson of Wedowee; two brothers, John Wesley Houston of Wedowee and Andrew Lee Houston of Florida; six sisters, Bertha Smith of Gadsden, Velma Wright of Wedowee, Jessie Hunter and Eddie Lee Knox of Tuscaloosa, Mollie Mae Heflin of Wadley and Mildred Stitt of Buffalo, N.Y; 36 grandchildren, 61 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Eunice Houston.    Arrangements were by Clark Memorial Funeral Service, Roanoke. _________ Dorothy Boyce Hendrix    (GRAHAM) Services for Dorothy Boyce Hendrix, 72, of Graham were Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2003, at 2 p.m. EST at Bethlehem Campground United Methodist Church with the Revs. Jimmy Holmes, Ray Runyan and Jerry Wiggins officiating.  Burial was in the church cemetery.    Mrs. Hendrix died Monday, Nov. 24, at Wedowee Hospital.    A native of Cleburne County, Mrs. Hendrix was born May 7, 1931, the daughter of the late Jessie J. and Mariah Whitley Williams.  She was a retired poultry farmer and a member of Bethlehem Campground United Methodist Church.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Alta Hendrix, who died May 29, 1976.    She is survived by three daughters, Lynne Benefield of Graham and Shelia Caldwell and Sheryl Smith of Ranburne; two brothers, Herman Williams of Cumming, Ga., and Luna Williams of Ranburne; six sisters, Shirley Baker of Carrollton, Ga., Georgia Mae Lowery, Ora Bell Robinson and Veralene Turner of Bowdon, Ga., and Charlotte Runyan and Rachel Runyan of Graham; and seven grandchildren.    Music was furnished by the church choir.  Pallbearers were Jason Driver, Jeffrey Driver, Conrad Davis, Gerry Runyan, Ray English and David Runyan. __________ June Strickland    (ASHLAND) Services for Mr. June "Coaltrain" Strickland, 59, of Ashland, were Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2003, at 11 a.m. at Clay County Funeral Home with the Rev. James Duke officiating.  Burial was in Lystra Baptist Church Cemetery.    Mr. Strickland died Saturday, Nov. 22, at his home.    Survivors include his wife, Mattie Strickland; eight daughters, Deborah Adamson and Jana Miles, both of Ashland, Norma Strickland and Linda Jones, both of Wadley, Tonya Thrift of Childersburg, Vicky Miles of Lineville, Jona Thornton of Newsite and Donna McQueen of Wetumpka; three sons, Donald Strickland and Ricky Strickland, both of Lakeland, Fla., and Tim Miles of Lineville; two sisters, Dot Dunaway and Sarah Handley, both of Ashland; four brothers, Willard Strickland, Dillard Strickland, Jay Strickland and Max Strickland, all of Lakeland; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.    Pallbearers were Terry Fables, James Edmondson, Shine Heath, Stevie Long, Barry Watts, Brinton Heath, Billy Browning and Bug Heath.    Mr. Strickland, a Clay County native, had lived in Lakeland before returning to Clay County in 1989.  He was a member of Mission of Love for All People.  An Army paratrooper, he was a retired truck driver and carpenter.    In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Clay County Rescue Squad. __________ Dorothy May    (LAGRANGE, Ga.) Dorothy May, 87, of LaGrange, Ga., died Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2003, at Florence Hand Home in LaGrange.    Mrs. May, born Oct. 21, 1916, in Newnan, Ga., was the daughter of the late Thomas Dawson and Minnie Lee Haynes Smith.  She retired from Westinghouse.    Survivors include two daughters, Daphyne Whatley of LaGrange and Tommie Sanders of Roanoke; two sons, Billy Moore of Summerville and Robbie May of Mobile; 10 grandchildren; a stepson, Gerald May of Atlanta; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by a son, Wayne May.    Funeral services were at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26, in the Hunter-Allen-Myhand chapel with the Rev. Ed Livingston officiating.  Burial was in Hillview East Cemetery. __________ Jack L. Shelton    (GRAHAM) Jack L. Shelton, 57, of 243 County Road 422, Graham, died Monday, Dec. 1, 2003, at Tanner Medical Center, Carrollton, Ga.    Mr. Shelton was born Oct. 14, 1946, in Cleburne County, son of the late James "Jim" and Lela Willingham Shelton.  He was a poultry farmer and served in the Army National Guard for 8 1/2 years.    Survivors include his wife, Charleen McManus Shelton of Graham; two sons, Lee Shelton and Matt Shelton of Woodland; a daughter, Amanda Aldridge of Bowdon, Ga.; four brothers, Bill Shelton, John Shelton, R. J. Shelton and Robert Shelton of Heflin; two sisters, Louise Turner and Betty Whiten of Bowdon; and three grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph and Jimmy Shelton.    Services will be at 2 p.m. (Central) on Wednesday, Dec. 3, at Gold Ridge Baptist Church, with the Rev. Gary Stewart and the Rev. Bobby Garner officiating.  Burial will be in Cleburne County Memory Gardens, Ranburne.    Pallbearers will be Charles Glenn, Leroy Parmer, Murl Williams, Vernon Lipham, Couch Whitley, Anthony Daniel, Cleve Pace and John Bain.  Honorary pallbearers will be Randall Turner, William Wilson, Merlyn Ellis and Paul Bell.    Arrangements are by Rainwater and West, Bowdon. __________ Mary Fant    (LANETT) Mary Fant, 79, of Lanett died Saturday, Nov. 29, 2003, at her residence.    Funeral services were Monday, Dec. 1, at 10 a.m. CST at Jeff Jones Funeral Home in LaFayette with the Rev. Jim Luttrell officiating.  Burial followed in the Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery.    Mrs. Fant is survived by one son, Randall Fant of Wadley; three grandchildren, Tamara Flournoy, Alicia Daugherty and Shane Chavers; and two great-grandchildren.    Born Nov. 8, 1.923, in Chambers County, Mrs. Fant was retired from Lanett Mill after 48 years of service, and also operated a beauty shop in Lanett for many years.  She was a member of Community Chapel Church of God in Lanett.    Arrangements were by Jeff Jones Funeral Home, LaFayette. __________ Louise Cofield Haynes    (NEWELL) Services for Louise Cofield Haynes, 76, of Newell were Monday, Dec. 1, 2003, at 2 p.m. at Jordan Chapel Congregational Methodist Church, with the Rev. Jamie Taylor officiating.  Burial followed at Paran Baptist Church Cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge.    Mrs. Hernandez died Tuesday, Dec. 2, at her home.    Survivors include her husband, Daniel Hernandez; one daughter, Frances Susan Hernandez; one son, Daniel Tyson Hernandez; her parents, Gene and Frances Waters; and a sister, Shirley Luken, all of Roanoke.    Pallbearers were Chris Timms, Tyson Hernandez, Anthony Luna, Ryan Samford, Russ McKinney, Will McKinney and Jason Bassett.    A California native, Mrs. Hernandez was born March 26, 1950, daughter of Gene and Frances Edwards Waters.  She grew up at Oceanside, Calif., and was a former resident of Franklin, Ga.  She had been a member of Paran Baptist Church and Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.  She had worked as a registered nurse with Randolph Medical Center and was owner of the Heritage Home for a year. __________ Michael LaShun Dozier    (ROANOKE) LaShun Dozier, 28, of Roanoke died Saturday, Dec. 6, 2003, at Randolph Medical Center, Roanoke.    Services will be Thursday, Dec. 11, at 1 p.m. at Rock Mills Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerome Fannin and the Rev. Lathonia J. Wright officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.    Survivors include his fiance, Aisha Trammell of Roanoke; parents, Bobby and Earnestine Dozier of Roanoke; three sons, Jamarious Dozier, Michael LaShun Dozier Jr. and Tyrik RaShaad Dozier of Roanoke; three brothers, Myron Patterson Dozier and Jesse Tatum of Roanoke and Michael Durrell Dozier of South Carolina; and two sisters, Trevious Foster and Cherry Brooks of Roanoke.    Viewing will be at Clark Memorial Funeral Service from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Wednesday.  The body will be placed in the church one hour before services.    Arrangements are by Clark Memorial Funeral Service, Roanoke. __________ Terrell Marcus Pythress    (AUBURN) Terrell Marcus Pythress, 20, of Auburn died Friday, Dec. 5, 2003.    Services will be Wednesday, Dec. 10, at 1 p.m. at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Roanoke.  The Rev. Gilbert E. Staples will officiate. Interment will follow in the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery.    Mr. Poythress is survived by his parents, Terrell and Dian Poythress of Roanoke; a sister, Stephanie Evans of Jacksonville; and a grandmother, Annie Mae Poythress of LaGrange, Ga.    Honorary pallbearers will be the Handley High School Class of 2002.  Active pallbearers will be Ron Poythress, Gerald Hooks, Chad Higgins, John White, Sandy Sims and Gerrod Cofield.    Mr. Pythress was a graduate of the Handley High School class of 2002.  He was a student at Southern Union Community College's campus in Opelika.    Arrangements are by Roanoke Funeral Home. Note:  Pythress/Poythress is transcribed as written in the obituary. __________ Vernon 'Alabama' Lawson    (CARROLLTON, Ga.)  Vernon "Alabama" Lawson, 59, died unexpectedly on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2003.    Mr. Lawson was born in Randolph County on July 26, 1944.  He retired from his position as an electrician for the Milliken Textile Company in LaGrange, Ga., where he was a loyal employee for more than 30 years.  He and his wife, Marie Mashburn Lawson, who preceded him in death on June 3, 2003, enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends.    Others preceded Mr. Lawson in death were both of his parents, John Elliot Lawson and Colon Bozeman, and a daughter, Terri Joe Lawson, in 1972.    Surviving are two sons, Michael Eugene Lawson and Marty Glenn Upchurch of Carrollton; a daughter, Linda Darlene Upchurch Luke of Carrollton; a brother, Billy Lawson of Roanoke; three sisters, Dorothy Chisholm of Richmond, Va., Mary John Nolen of Roanoke and Wyoleen Sikes of Wedowee; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.    Services were at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Carrollton, (Clem community) at 4 p.m. Monday, Dec. 8, with the Rev. Shane Roberson officiating and the Rev. Dr. Doug New assisting.    Pallbearers were Brian Hill, John Glass, Cliff Eldred, Carol Scarborough, Dan Barclay and Kenny Echols.  Honorary pallbearers were Josh Bagley, Timothy Smith and Ellis Duke.    Interment was in Carroll Memory Gardens in Carrollton.    Arrangements were by Almon Funeral Home & Chapel, Carrollton. __________ Joseph Anthony 'Tony' Jones    (MARIETTA, Ga.) Joseph Anthony "Tony" Jones, 50, of Marietta, Ga., died Friday, May 30, 2003, after a brief illness.    Mr. Jones was born July 28, 1952, in Niagara Falls, N.Y.  He was the son of the late Rance and Merrilee Jones and the grandson of the late Rocco and Florence Bruno.  Tony served in the U.S. Air Force Reserve and worked for Graphic Solutions Group and previously for Stein Printing Company.  He was a member of Shiloh Hills Baptist Church.    He is survived by his wife, the former Martha Sutton of Wadley; a daughter, Nicole Jones Maynard of Woodstock, Ga.; four brothers, Rocco J. Bruno Jr. and David Michael Bruno of Niagara Falls, Rance A. Jones Jr. of Charlotte, N.C., and Mark Hester of British Columbia; a sister, Rosanna Ramsey of Auburn; one granddaughter; uncles Fred Jones of Auburn and Herbert Jones of Wadley; a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.    Services were at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 2, in Reece Memorial Chapel of Woodstock Funeral Home, with Rev. Cofield    (ANNISTON) Services for Nellie H. Cofield, 82, of Anniston were Saturday, Dec. 6, 2003, at 11 a.m. at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary & Crematory Chapel with Minister David Screws and Elder Guy Howell officiating.  Burial was in Forestlawn Gardens.    Mrs. Cofield died Wednesday, Dec. 3, at St. Clair Regional Medical Center in Pell City.    Survivors include a daughter, Mary Hardin of Anniston; five grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.    Pallbearers were Keith Screws, Mark Epps, Chris Hubbard, Vernon Wernick, Bobby Fuller and Jimmy Reaves.    Mrs. Cofield, a Randolph County native, had lived in Calhoun County most of her life.  She was a charter member of Wellborn Christian Church.  She was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star.  Mrs. Cofield was preceded in death by her husband, Dennie H. Cofield; and a son, Johnnie Mark Cofield. __________ E. Hurley Pearson Jr.    Services for E. Hurley Pearson Jr., 84, of Wadley, will be Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2003, at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Wadley, with the Rev. Jack Womack, Mr. Jerry Hall, the Rev. Zenus Windsor and the Rev. John Skipper officiating.  Burial will be in Wadley Cemetery.    Mr. Pearson will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to services.    Mr. Pearson died Sunday, Dec. 7, at Randolph Medical Center.    Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Harris Pearson of Wadley; two daughters, Suzanne Collins and Dale White, both of Marietta, Ga.; one son, Robert Hurley Pearson of Alexander City; and six grandchildren.    Pallbearers will be Jerry Hall, Johnny Cleveland, Jimmy Sprayberry, Ethridge Knight, Jim Hall and Randy Howell.  Members of the Wadley Baptist Men's Sunday School Class will serve as honorary pallbearers.    A lifelong Wadley resident, Mr. Pearson was born Nov. 5, 1919, son of Ellis Hurley Pearson Sr. and Annie Lawson Bailey Pearson.  He served in the Army Corps of Engineers during World War 11.  Mr. Pearson was a member of Wadley First Baptist Church, where he served as deacon, chairman of the Deacon Board, Sunday school teacher and in the church choir.  He was a rural letter carrier with the Wadley Post Office, former director of First Bank and a member and past president of the Wadley Kiwanis Club.    Memorials may be floral or the family suggests contributions to Wadley First Baptist Church.    Arrangements are by Quattlebaum Funeral Home, Roanoke. __________ Clifford Johnson    (ROANOKE) Clifford Johnson, 75, of Roanoke died Sunday, Dec. 7, 2003, at Randolph Medical Center, Roanoke.    Survivors include a sister, Johnnie Mae Ridley of Roanoke; an aunt, Rebecca Garner of Lineville; two nephews and four nieces.    He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Fannie Johnson; his wife, Katherine Johnson; a brother, Harvey Lee Johnson; and three sisters, Lillian Smith, Lucille Traylor and Gladys Slaughter.    Services will be Friday, Dec. 12, at 1 p.m. at Sweet Home Baptist Church, Five Points, with the Rev. Gaddy, 89, of Hogansville, Ga., died Monday, Dec. 8, 2003, at her home.    Mrs. Gaddy, born Sept. 19, 1914, in Randolph County, was the daughter of the late Posey and Eddie Hogan Lancaster.  She had lived in Hogansville most of her life and was a member of Corinth Baptist Church.    Survivors include five daughters, Hazel Freeman, Janie Chipman, Barbara Webb and Susan Hanner, all of Hogansville, and Nellie Barkhouse of Goosecreek, S.C.; three sons, Clinton Gaddy and Arnold Gaddy of Hogansville and Charles "Chuck" Gaddy of LaGrange. Yancey Sanders officiating.  Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.    Mr. Windsor died Friday, Dec. 26, at his home.    Survivors include two sons, Freddy Windsor and Jerry Windsor of Roanoke; three grandchildren; one sister, Pat Helms of Birmingham; and a brother, Douglas Ted Windsor of San Antonio, Texas.    Pallbearers were Wayne Windsor, Craig Calhoun, Tommy Windsor, Ronnie Clark, Ronnie Clark Sr., Gary Clark, Donnie Benefield and Bill Calhoun.  Fellow members of the Masonic Lodge served as honorary pallbearers.    A lifelong Roanoke resident, Mr. Windsor was born Sept. 5, 1922, son of Henry Clay Windsor Sr. and Dicie Camp Windsor.  He was a World War 11 Army veteran and a member of Mt. Zion Christian Church, Roanoke Masonic Lodge 132 and the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry 32 degree.  He had retired from West Point Pepperell.    Mr. Windsor was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Susie Virginia Poor Windsor; and a brother, Mitchell Windsor.    Arrangements were by Quattlebaum Funeral Home, Roanoke. __________ Antonio Kendrell Smith (infant)    (WADLEY) Baby Antonio Kendrell Smith of Wadley died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2003, at University of Alabama Medical Center, Birmingham.    Services were Friday, Dec. 19, at noon at Leander Baptist Church, Daviston, with the Rev. James Carlisle officiating.  Burial was in the church cemetery.    Survivors include his parents, Maurice Lockhart of Dadeville and Crystal Smith of Wadley; a sister, Titiyana Johnson of Wadley; a brother, Edward Junior Smith II of Wadley; grandmothers, Linda Lockhart of Dadeville and Vernice Smith of Wadley; a great-grandfather, Charlie Miller Smith of Wadley; five uncles and one aunt.    Arrangements were by Clark Memorial Funeral Service, Roanoke. __________ Mary Ann Yates    (WINCHESTER, Tenn.) Services for Mary Ann Yates, 82, of Winchester, Tenn., formerly of Woodland, were Monday, Dec. 29, 2003, at 1 p.m. at Providence Baptist Church in Woodland, with the Rev. Jack Hice officiating.  Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.  The family had services in Winchester on Sunday, Dec. 28, at Marble Plains Baptist Church.    Mrs. Yates died Thursday, Dec. 25, at Suncoast Hospital in Largo, Fla.    Survivors include two daughters, Judy Lyles of Indian Rocks Beach, Fla., and Jane Brown of Carrollton, Texas; three sisters, Carolyn McDowell of Gardendale, Shirley Garner of Newnan, Ga., and Lucille Garner of Montgomery; two brothers, Bruce Garner of Birmingham and Arnold Garner of Hanceville; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.    Pallbearers were Ronald Brown, Stephen Rampy, Michael Rampy, Mark Brown, Bruce Garner and Arnold Garner.    Mrs. Yates was a native of Randolph County, born Jan. 12, 1921, daughter of Tom and Nevada Sikes Garner.  She was retired from Bremen-Bowdon Investment Company as a supervisor.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Esker Willis Yates, a daughter, Marie Rampy, and a son, Gary Yates.    Arrangements were by Benefield Funeral Home, Wedowee. __________ Herbert Wright Green    (LAGRANGE, Ga.) Herbert Wright Green, 80, of LaGrange, Ga., died Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2003, at West Georgia Medical Center.    Mr. Green, born Aug. 1, 1923, in Randolph County, Ala., was the son of the late Mack and Lou Emma Stewart Green.  Mr. Green had lived in LaGrange most of his life and retired from Milliken and Company after 45 years of service as a machinery maintenance manager.  He served in the United States Army during World War II.    Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Eveline "Johnnie" Green of LaGrange; sons, Mickey Green of Pine Mountain, Ga., David Green of Walland, Tenn., Randy Green of Madbury, N.H., and Mark Green of LaGrange; two sisters, Mrs. Thelma Kent of Thomaston, Ga., and Marjorie Green of LaGrange; and several nieces and nephews.    Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 26, in the Hunter-Allen-Myhand Chapel with the Rev. Don Eshleman officiating.  Burial was in Restlawn Memory Gardens. __________ William Phillip Richardson    (FIVE POINTS) Services for William Phillip Richardson, 37, of Five Points were Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2003, at 2 p.m. at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Gerald Sheppard officiating.  Burial followed at Potash Cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge.    Mr. Richardson died Tuesday, Dec. 23, at his mother's residence.    Survivors include his mother, Myrtice Richardson of Roanoke; father, Sherrell Richardson of Roanoke; one sister, Johnifer Wilson of Roanoke; one brother, Matthew Richardson of Wadley; two nieces and two nephews.    A Roanoke resident most of his life, Mr., Richardson was born in Heard County, Ga., on Aug. 26, 1966, son of Milton Sherrell Richardson and Myrtice Faye Gosdin Richardson. __________ Elizabeth Howard Warren    (WEDOWEE) Elizabeth Howard Warren, 64, of Wedowee, died Monday, Dec. 22, 2003, at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika.    Survivors include her husband, Donnie E. Warren of Wedowee; one daughter, Shelia Marie Burks of Jacksonville; three sons, James Calvin Ivey of Lakeland, Ga., Michael Anthony Ivey of Douglas, Ga., and Jonathan "Marty" Ivey of Roanoke; two sisters, Joyce Hicks and Ima Jean Sims, both of Bryant; three brothers, Hollis Howard of Sand Mountain, Billy Howard of Bryant and Donald Ray Howard of Stevenson; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.    Mrs. Warren was a Jackson County native, born Feb. 26, 1939, daughter of George W. and Alvie Adams Howard.  She was Baptist by faith and had retired from Amoco Fabrics & Fibers.  She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Dewayne Ivey; two grandsons, Jason Ivey and Anthony Ivey; a great-grandson, Will Cofield; and a sister, Ella Mae Grayson.    There were no public services.  Quattlebaum Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. __________ Ida M. Coleman Shaw    (GADSDEN) Services for Ida M. Coleman Shaw, 77, of Gadsden were Friday, Dec. 26, 2003, at 11 a.m. at Sweet Home United Methodist Church in Gadsden with the Rev. Lawrence Watts, pastor, officiating.  Burial was at Peace & Goodwill Baptist Church Cemetery, Roanoke.    Mrs. Shaw died Saturday, Dec. 20, at her residence.    Mrs. Shaw is best remembered for her years devoted to education at Randolph County Training School (RCTS) and as the wife of the late Herman L. Shaw, who was principal of RCTS for many years before the family relocated to Gadsden. Mrs. Shaw was the 15th of 16 children born in Roanoke to the late Luther and Willie Coleman.  Early in life, she joined Mt. Bethel Methodist Church in Roanoke.  She graduated from RCTS, later obtaining her B.S. degree from Alabama A&M University.  She earned her master's degree from Tuskegee University and continued her studies from Morgan State University.  After moving to Gadsden, she joined Sweet Home United Methodist Church, where she served as chairperson of the administrative board, a member of council on ministries, Sunday school teacher of the Methodist women, a pastor-parish relations committee member and lay delegate to the annual conference.  Professionally, she worked as a classroom teacher, school counselor, and director of Project PEEP and engaged in the business arena.  She touched the lives of many students, leading them to success in their lives and educational endeavors.  She was involved with Upward Bound, Gadsden Housing Authority Board, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Regional 310 Board, AEA, NEA and the Retired Teachers Association.    Survivors include one son, Rev. Daryll Shaw of Gadsden; three daughters, Vale Bills, Nina Warren and Gigi Owens, all of Gadsden;  five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Joseph Coleman of Washington, D.C., and Jim Coleman of Chattanooga, Tenn.; two sisters, Nancy Arnold and Ruth Reese, both of Chattanooga, Tenn.; and many other relatives and devoted friends.    Arrangements were by Watson & Sons Funeral Home, Gadsden, and Clark Memorial Funeral Service, Roanoke. ______________________________________________________
