Services for Mrs. Evelyn Gwendolyn Abner, 66, of Wedowee, Rt. 1, Will be Saturday 
at 1 p.m. at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church with the Rev. G.K. Abner officiating. 
Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee 
In charge. The body will be at the church until service time. Mrs. Abner died 
Thursday at Randolph County Hospital. Survivors include her husband, Merle Abner 
of Wedowee; a daughter. Mrs. Peggy Strickland of Shelby, N.C.; a son, Buddy 
Robbins of Atlanta, Ga, and six grandchildren.  Mrs. Abner was a native of Forest 
City, N.C., and a former resident of Nashville, Tenn. She had lived in Wedowee 
for the past four years. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
