Services for Mrs. Rachell Elizabeth Ackles, 61, of Heflin will be today at 2 
p.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Bishop T.C. Tolbert officiating. 
Burial will be in the church cemetery with Ervin Funeral Home of Anniston in 
charge. The body will be at the residence until an hour before services. Mrs. 
Ackles died Tuesday at Clay County Hospital.  Survivors include seven daughters, 
Mrs. Ruby L. Prothro, Mrs. Bernice Wood, Mrs. Anne Ruth Ware, Mrs. Verline 
Ervin, Mrs. Lois Ervin and Mrs. Sarah Jeanette Harris, all of Heflin, and Miss 
Gladys Shelia Ackles of Lineville; three sons, Willie B. Ackles of Lineville, 
Willie Lee Ackles of Ashland and Charles Ray Ackles of Bowdon, Ga.; two sisters, 
Mrs. Annie Mae Hardnett of Wadley and Mrs. Flossie Mae Wood of Delta; three 
brothers, John Heard and Curtis Heard, both of Delta, and Crawford Heard of 
Heflin; 49 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be 
grandsons. Mrs. Ackles was a native of Randolph County.
