OBITUARIES:

William Carlos Adcock

   (Roanoke Rt. 2)  William Carlos Adcock, age 76, of Rt. 2, Roanoke, died in 
the Veterans Hospital at 5:40 Sunday morning, Feb. 11.
   Mr. Adcock is survived by his wife, Mrs. Blanche Adcock; two sons, James R. 
Adcock of Atlanta, and Reed Adcock of Decatur, Ga.; one daughter, Mrs. Carl 
Sellers of Roanoke; one step-daughter, Mrs. James Henry of Birmingham; and 
eight grandchildren.
   Funeral services for Mr. Adcock were conducted Monday afternoon at two 
o'clock from the First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Roy Burgess officiating.  
Burial was in Cedarwood Cemetery.
   Quattlebaum's Brown-Service Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
