LAVONIA A. ALLEN (Roanoke) Mrs. Lavonia A. Allen, age 66, of Roanoke died Monday, Feb. 8, 1982, at Randolph County Hospital in Roanoke after an extended illness. Mrs. Allen was a lifelong resident of Randolph County, a textile worker, and a member of White's Chapel Methodist Church. She is survived by one son, Dennis Lee Story of LaGrange, GA; her mother Tweedie Adcock of Roanoke; three sisters, Mrs. Winnie Veal and Mrs. Flora Weathers, both of Roanoke, and Mrs. Lisa Burdette of LaGrange; four brothers, Arnie Adcock of Roanoke, Barnie Adcock of West Point, GA, William Adcock of Albany, GA, and Thomas Adcock of Jacksonville, FL; and one grandson. Funeral services for Mrs. Allen were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10, at White's Chapel Methodist Church, with the Rev. Larry Stephens officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Millard Adcock, Easton Burdette, Reese Weathers, John D. Weathers, Bonnie Weathers, Oliver Weathers, David Weathers, and James Oliver Weathers.
