The Atlanta Constitution 
Mr. Walter L. Allen of Decatur, an auto mechanic, died Wednesday of cancer at his 
home. He was 44.  The funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. CDT Sunday at Bethlehem 
Primitive Baptist Church in Wedowee, Ala., with burial at the church cemetery. 
Mr. Allen was in the Army in South Vietnam during the Vietnam War. Surviving are 
his mother, Amanda Allen of Wedowee, Ala.; a brother, William Allen of Tampa, 
Fla.; and five sisters, Martha Houston of Chicago, Willa Jenkins of Baltimore, 
Ethel Allen of Morrow, Carolyn Stewart of Atlanta, and Rosie Clark of Wedowee.
