Services for Mrs. Lena Ashley, 84, of Heflin, Rt. 3, will be today at 2 p.m. at 
the Pilgrim Rest Church of Randolph County with the Rev. Charles Burgess, the 
Rev. Donald Ogle and the Rev. Ben Turley officiating. Burial will be in the 
adjoining cemetery with Dryden Funeral Home of Heflin in charge. Mrs. Ashley 
died Saturday at the Golden Springs Nursing Home after a long illness. Survivors 
include four daughters, Mrs. Susie Turley and Mrs. Eunice Vaughn, both of 
Heflin, Mrs. Leler Turley and Mrs. Lillie Morris, both of Anniston; three sons, 
James Edward Ashley of Blue Mountain, the Rev. Arlin Ashley of Heflin and Ellis 
Ashley of Norcross, Ga.; a brother, Bealer Ogle of Heflin; 21 grandchildren, 20 
greatgrandchildren and four great-greatgrandchildren. Pallbearers will be 
nephews. Mrs. Ashley was a native of Randolph County and a resident of Cleburne 
County most of her life. She was a member of the Pinetucky Baptist Church. The 
body will remain at the funeral home until one hour prior to services.
