Louis P. Bowen and the Rev. Julian Murphy officiating. Burial was in, the church cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee in charge. Mr. Ayres died Monday at the Lineville Geriatrics Center. Survivors include five sisters, Mrs. Era L. Green of Anniston, Mrs. Vera Lee of Heflin, Mrs. Louise Daniel of Newell and Mrs. Eleanor McCord of Mapleton, Ga., and Mrs. Ora Green of Abilene, Texas; a brother, Woodrow Ayres of Gadsden; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were nephews. Mr. Ayres was a Randolph County native, a heavy-equipment operator, and a Methodist.
