BUCKALEW’S FATHER BURIED IN LAFAYETTE ---------------------------- After an illness of only a few days Mr. A. D. MOORE died last Saturday [27 March 1926] at his home in Weaver’s, near Anniston, at the advanced age of 78 years. The remains were brought through Roanoke Sunday and carried to LaFayette, where they were interred that afternoon, with services conducted at the grave by Dr. RUCKER. Mr. MOORE was the father of Mrs. M. R. BUCKALEW, of Roanoke, and was a well known and respected citizen of LaFayette and Chambers county, where he spent nearly all of his long life. He is survived by his second wife and several children by his first wife. All are occupying worthy positions in life. [From The Roanoke Leader (Randolph County, Alabama), 31 March 1926, p.1]
