Edna "Alaska" Benefield 82 Wedowee Ala died Sunday at Randolph County Hospital in 
Roanoke Ala. The funeral will be 2 pm (CST) Tuesday at Zion Baptist Church 
Woodland Ala with burial in the church cemetery according to Benefield Funeral 
Home in Wedowee. She was born Jan 18, 1898, in Randolph County daughter of Mr. 
and Mrs. Jake Pool She was a member of Zion Baptist Church and the widow of Swan 
Benefield. Survivors include a daughter Louise Edwards Columbus, two sons Harvey 
Benefield Tullahoma Tenn and Bruel Benefield Wedowee, a brother Archie Pool 
Lineville Ala, eight grandchildren and 10 greatgrandchildren..
