BEVERLY [Sara Tomlin Beverly] After providing for her family and friends a shining example of faith and courage for many months, Mrs. Medford Beverly succumbed to a long illness at her home, 256 West Point Street, last Saturday morning, Jan. 1, at 10:30. Mrs. Beverly, the former Sara Tomlin, was 41 years of age. She is survived by her husband, Medford Beverly, manager of the Alabama Power Co. district office here; three daughters, Misses Jane, Kay, and Martha Beverly of Roanoke; and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. S.H. Tomlin of Roanoke. The sanctuary of the First Methodist Church was overflowing Sunday afternoon at three for funeral services conducted by the pastor, Rev. Leon Railey, assisted by Rev. William Dean, pastor of the First Baptist Church. Burial was in Randolph Memory Gardens.
