James Edward Bowen, 50, of Woodland Rt. 1, died Friday at 11:15 a.m. in the 
Randolph County Hospital, Roanoke. Mr. Bowen was a farmer and a lifelong resident 
of Randolph County. Funeral services will be held today at 2 p.m. at Liberty East 
Baptist Church, with the Revs. James Anders, E. S. Fetner, ani Bill Spradlin 
officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery, with Quattlebaum's Brown-
Service Funeral Home, Roanoke, in charge. Surviving are his wife. Mrs. Claudie 
Bowen; a son, Bobby Bowen. both of Woodland Rt. 1, a daughter, Mr. Bertha B 
Fetner. Roanoke Rt, 2; his mother, Mrs. Martha Bowen, Woodland Rt. 2; a brother, 
Curtis Bowen, LaGrange, Ga.; a sister, Mrs. Lillie Huddleston, Woodland Al.
